Hygienists

To look after you and your children’s oral hygiene we have a dedicated team of hygienists and a dental therapist. Our half hour appointments give time for oral hygiene instruction as well as cleaning by ultrasonic, prophyjet and hand instrumentation. A very high proportion of our patients see a hygienist regularly to help maintain their oral health which is doubly important due to its link with systemic disease such as heart disease and diabetes.

Gum disease.

Gum disease can affect the gums, bone and ligaments that support your teeth. These structures are the foundations which enable you to keep your teeth for life but they can easily be damaged by bacterial infection. Gum disease is the biggest cause of tooth loss amongst adults in the UK if not treated, affecting one tooth or many.

Periowave Photodynamic Disinfection (PDD.)

Bridge Dental is also one of the first practices to be using Periowave Photodynamic Disinfection (PDD). Periowave is quick and simple to administer with virtually no treatment discomfort. It uses new non-thermal diode laser technology to target the bacteria that scaling and root planning leave behind. This helps us to treat more complex cases giving the best possible outlook for you and your teeth.
Ask your dentist or hygienist.
